Making the Switch to Clean Beauty

Raw Carrot Cake Cupcakes

December 27, 2019

I recently invested in a cold pressed juicer and have been loving making refreshing, hydrating and invigorating juices of a morning that are filled with goodness. Yet it concerned me that I was throwing away all of the fibre resulting from the juice extraction. So I thought I’d save it to make some epic raw … More Raw Carrot Cake Cupcakes

Pulled Jackfruit Nourish Bowl

March 24, 2019

After receiving a 1 kg bulk pack sachet of jackfruit as a gift, I mulled over what to do with this rare culinary ingredient and ended up settling for an Asian-inspired pulled jackfruit nourish bowl. If you haven’t had jackfruit before, it has the consistency of pulled pork (so I’m told) and takes on the … More Pulled Jackfruit Nourish Bowl

Every cell in your body and each one of your tastebuds will thank you, trust me. You can follow the steps in my latest blog post to make up your own buddha bowl with the ingredients that you like best or that are available to you. Everyone is on their own unique journey and the souls we meet along the way have many important things to teach us ✨ Trust that the right people will come along and be with you to stay when you are your authentic self πŸ™ I am so grateful for all of the amazing friendships that have entered my life over the years. And remember, you haven't yet met all the people you will love and who will love you πŸ’™
It is so important to work on cultivating a positive, mindful and loving relationship with food as nourishment πŸ™ Your food choices have the potential to give you more energy, improve your concentration and increase your vitality. Nourishing choices can give your skin a healthy glow, stabilise both your blood sugar levels and mood, and allow you to naturally maintain a healthy body weight. You can also make choices that decrease inflammation and optimise your immune system. If we are what we eat and food is our medicine, then why not use the opportunity to nourish our cells at each meal? This becomes even more enticing when you consider how wonderful it tastes to eat the bounty of real foods that our Earth so generously provides us with πŸ₯’πŸ₯πŸ“πŸ₯πŸ πŸ‰πŸ₯‘πŸ…πŸ‹
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable with others 🐚 No one is perfect and we all have our flaws and hardships. This is what makes us human. Being able to own up to our imperfections and share our journeys is what enables us to be able to relate to each other. If you are struggling with something in silence, don’t be afraid to reach out to people around you who you trust. There is always help available to you.
Cleanse your liver and get your glow on with a fresh, vital green smoothie πŸ’š Cucumber contains silica which is a key ingredient in creating collagen for healthy skin, hair and nails πŸ₯’ Spinach is rich in iron and other vitamins πŸ₯¬ Mango and banana are full of fibre, vitamin A and C πŸ₯ Coconut water is super hydrating and rich in potassium πŸ₯₯ Lastly, lemon can aid digestion and help clear your skin πŸ‹ Name a better way to start your day!
DIY Wire Wrapped Crystal Necklace πŸ’Ž Now up on my blog πŸ’™ I have always loved the idea of wearing a crystal close to my heart, hanging from a chain around my neck. But I prefer more delicate pieces of jewellery and personally like to wear gold, different from the crystals you see everywhere hanging from a thick black chord held on with silver. l also wanted to wear a crystal that called to me. Crystals are powerful gifts from the Earth which transmit energy and have different purposes. As humans, our vibrational frequencies are very easily altered. This can occur as a result of exposure to other peoples’ energies, the news, social media, the weather, traffic, memories and more. However, crystals are extremely stable in their geometric structure and therefore have a frequency that does not change. The stability of crystals makes them a more powerful source of energy that can influence the energies around it. This is why crystals can significantly influence our unstable (and less powerful) energy. Check out my blog post for more information about their properties and how to make your very own wire wrapped crystal necklace πŸ™
